It should be somewhere on your intake manifold. You want to measure manifold pressure. If you have it before the throttle body, you won't read vacuum and you won't know what is happening in the throttle body because there will be a pressure drop across the throttle plate. Do you know that you're actually producing boost, or do you know that the gauge is not working?

the gauge is working that i know of it reads vaccum pressure, and i can hear and feel the turbo spooling up when i accelerate and the bov is blowing off

Maybe the gauge is broken. When you say "hooked up to my FPR", what does that mean?

Is it in line with the vacuum line on the FPR like with a T-Fitting?

Try a different boost gauge, and see if there is a check valve or anything on that vac line. You could also try another vac line on the manifold.
