If you use a gsr crank you will have to use gsr rods BUT it will all work in an ls block if you were wondering. cool, thanks for the info. I think i'm getting the arp rod bolts, ls rods and itr pistons. with the ls crank. and a type r head. u think thats decent set up?

Not a prob bro. What are your goals? Def get the arp rod bolts if you dont want to risk stretching the factory ones. You plan on using usdm itr or jdm itrs? I would honestly go with the b16 pistons so you dont have to get anything machined. The b16 pistons go right onto the ls rods. It will put you around 11.9 - 12.0 comp. My old 4 door had a gsr motor, stock head no portwork skunk stage 2 tuner cams and b16 pistons and made 195whp.

I would love to make a reliable 190 to 200 whp DD. How reliable was yours with that set up?

There could be a vadriven Ls/vtec meet... They are running all over the place. Just make sure you get arp rod bolts, And change gears when you fall out of powerband...Yall n/a vtec guys like to rev it to the moon and go no where.

I drove mine everyday and raced it at the track almost every weekend for almost a year before i sold the car. As far as i know its still running

Why tho? Thats just dumb imo... Just use your ls crank stock ls rods with arp rod bolts and b16 pistons and you will have no problem revving to 9k
