I pulled it all back out. another day tomorrow. I'm sure the input shaft wasnt going in or lining up, I think I may have a good Idea to try tomorrow, if it doesnt work, the tranny is coming out of the car tomorrow.

take a piece of sandpaper and clean the input shaft and the hole it goes in...may have had a burr on it...also put some grease on the shaft...it will help it slide in a little easier (kinda like ky and the bunghole)

just did the same swap, with leaving the tranny in the car. It took some wiggling of the motor to get it on. Try putting a jack under the tranny etc....it'll go, just takes some time.

Man, you gotta pry on that shit. If you have any gap at all, you're lucky.

if you can if the rear wheels are off the ground...spin a tire, or just rotate the driveshaft it self.

No need to pull tranny, you're making more work for your self. However is much easier with an extra set of hands.

well yeah. I'm not close enough for that, its too out of line. when i get it so it looks like it could push straight in, its about 2 inchs apart, and as it gets closer, its no longer lined up. oil pan is on the sub frame.

It might be more work to pull the tranny, but im not wasting another day.
