They took her straight there, they actually had 2 guys holding her still while they pulled the suv away so they could get to the battery and disable the electronics so the airbag wouldn't go off on them.

I've heard of people kicking their bumpers just right and the airbags deploying, so, apparently not very fast.

Just a couple of pics, she didn't take a picture of the bumper pulled off its brace and both welds ripped apart.

I've hit a deer head on going 50mph and I've rear-ended someone going 35mph. Neither of those caused the airbags to deploy and both situations they would have been welcome.

I'm not a big believer in the awesomeness of airbags.

1 - if you disable your airbags you have to inform your insurance company if you expect coverage
2 - while they might not go off every time that they are needed, if you're over 5'2" they can be a BIG help. What I've never understood is why nobody ever tells people that an airbag will f up a short person.

If I expect coverage? If I get in an accident, I pop the fuses back in... Profit...

Heres a thought, I wear my seatbelt...

I really don't want my car totaled b/c it costs thousands of dollars just to replace my airbags...

seriously where do you come up with these figures for airbags...

you can get the drivers/pass/module for nearly every honda for less that 400 bucks...

high end cars such as bmw/mb/audi/ go for 5-700

and cheap shit like ford and chevy american shit you get for approx 150 for the set...
