Just take off your ex emblem off the back of your car and replace with a dx.

so everyone can understand what the hell is wrong with this car i sold it to him. it is a 90 hatch dx. i got darius if yall know who he is he doesnt do any bullshit work to put a 99 ex in it that i bought from dinh auto. i didnt by a conversion harness to convert my intake manifold to a 4 injector manifold, so it has a 90 intake manifold on it. is everyone with me now, so me and darius put it all together and dropped it in and it ran fine, it just didnt get all the horsepower of the motor becouse i didnt get the conversion harness. but darius took my car and wired up the vtec to a toggle switch for a couple of days to make sure it worked(yeah i know instant vtec when i wanted it) but we took it off and he was gonna make me a vtec controller from a shift light and run my vtec like that but he never got around to it . all in all i sold the car to him for 600 dollars and all he needs to do is go to placeracing.com and buy the conversion harness and an intake manifold for it and you will be good to go.

wouldnt vtec still engage when the computer plans on it to come in. not jsut at tha flip of a switch. i did the same thing on my old crx cause i had a single cam and didnt think that vtec was working becuase i couldnt hear it. And come to find out that little extra pull at a little above 5g was it kickin in. no matter when i flipped the switch on. i dunno just my encounters with that. take the single out and get dual cam. that way you can hear it.
