Many of the wideback controllers have a narrowband output so you can use the wideband to interface directly with the ECU (so the ECU still thinks there is a narrowband attached to it). Basically the analog narrowband output mimics a narrowband O2 sensor. If the ECU is datalogging air/fuel from the narrowband input... you get the picture.
Many of the wideband controllers also have a direct datalogging output over USB or serial or whatever also, so you can datalog right to a laptop.
