yeah. I was set on going with the RB26DETT but I am starting to sway toward the Lexus with a stock 2JZ. The comparison as far as power seems a bit obvious but as far as the practicality, the lexus takes it. I figure witht he S14

Car-2500
Engine (with harness)- 2000
Swap- $1000-2500

it'll end up at around 7000-8000 to roll it out the door. Not to mention premium gas haha

haha, well I like the fact that S14 has ALMOST a perfect balance ratio (but that is stock)...As far as S13. I would personally go with RB25DET. Of course I wouldnt put this post up if I new much about the 2JZ. haha

at least youre not one of these guys:
"I can get the swap for $2500, so it should only cost about $3500 to do the whole thing"

Def research some more. Everything about this appears kind of broad. Aren't completed redtop SR20 swaps $3500-$3800 @ shops (minus cost of car)?

haha that caddy is sounding nice about now. But no, like I said, I spent the time in japan and shopped around. thats where my prices are from. Friends from both Dash Performance and Performance Tuning gave me the swap price. The engine with harness and ECU is a different story.
