Question

Above picture to the right of the red thing, what is that and is it equivalent to a blow off valve.
It's an actuator. Not equivalent to a blow off valve. Maybe your wastegate actuator.

Yes, that's your wastegate actuator. And it looks like you don't have the stock recirc valve anymore since you apparently ditched the stock SMIC/piping. If you no longer have it, it'd probably be a good idea to get a BOV of some type, and put it on the hot pipe (between the turbo and intercooler). If you want to avoid a slightly rich condition when you let off the gas, you can recirculate it by running an additional pipe from the BOV to the intake pipe between the MAF and turbo. Stock BOVs from first-gen DSMs are cheap, and quiet.

Is this the stock recirculate valve your talking about? Mounts just above turbo outlet on the head.

It seems like you need some help putting this thing together. The thing next to the red thing ...."a turbo coupler" is your stock t25 wastegate actuator. If you are looking to set up a BOV just get an aftermarket blow off valve like an HKS and install it some where on the cold side of your piping. I believe the piece you have posted is the stock recerc. valve. i woldnt use that as your bov. Your Wastegate will open on pressure increse depending on the style and sping you use. The stock t25 wastegate actuator opens right around 6.5psi and it stays open at WOT so you wont over boost your car.l

S13 SR20DET black top

My SR20DET swap came with a 4 wheel steering pump

Question: Why doesn't my DOHC 2 wheel power steering pump and bracket fit?
