hmm is the OEM exhaust manifold 2 piece or 1?

i did a quick search but couldnt find any step-by-step instructions.

well you could just unbolt the exhaust manifold and drop the exhaust that way...which is a pain in the ass.

i'd wait and see what a couple of the honda kid's say. Cyanide Jello/Sarge may have a simple solution to your problem.

drain oil
take off the header
remove pan bolts and nuts
remove gasket, clean it up, put on new gasket
replace pan and bolts
hand tighten the bolts and nuts in the torx pattern (be easy)
replace header.

torque pattern means torquing the pan evenly, like you would when you put on a wheel.

tighten one bolt down, then tighten one directly across from it, and keep continuing that pattern. dont tighten them all the way down the first time, lightly tighten each bolt down in that pattern, then go back and re-tighten them all.

yeah, just tighten them down enough to seat the oil pan. once it's set and the bolts have all been slightly tightened, give each bolt a quick turn to tighten them down fully. but like i said before, be really careful not to over-tighten them...they break very easily.
