It would be easier to just pull your plug wires so the engine wont fire and you wont have to mess with those damn clips on the dizzy. Adjust the breaker bar and turn the starter over a few times until it breaks.

Re: Removing the crank pulley, NEED HELP!!
if the timing belt jumped a tooth- then why are you removing the pulley?
Simply removed the belt, crank the engine over with your socket and breaker bar until the pistons are at TDC, then line up your cam gears and put on the belt.
I think you guys are nuking the shit out of this.

Re: Removing the crank pulley, NEED HELP!!
your right, if it were me I would line up the crank pully with the timing mark, take the belt off of the cam gear and hold it tight with a bungey cord to make sure it doesnt come off the tensioner or water pump, and set the cam gear to tdc. Then just put the belt back on and problem solved...
But the thing is, if the belt jumped a tooth, you should probably tighten the tensioner pulley a bit to make sure it doesnt happen again. This would require you to take the crank pulley off...

I still don't understand why you need to take off the crank pulley- the tensioner pulley is not even connected to it. Set the crank to TDC, set the cams to TDC, lay on the belt, tight the tensioner and your done!
Taking the cranky pulley off does what in this equation?

agree - if the belt isn't coming off, you don't need to remove the pulley.
however, if the owner feels it necessary (since this comes up time and time again), the best way to remove a crank pulley is to use the honda-specific crank pulley removal tool. i know this concept sounds really far out.
several different companies make versions of it.
in conjunction with 1/2" drive hand tools and cheater bars as required, no crank pulley is difficult to remove.
i've never understood why so many people insist on rigging complex solutions to such simple problems.
