Your rev limit should be 8017, something is wrong. B16 rev limit is usually at redline, yeah.

This was my car. I can vouch that it did rev to 8200 or really close to it. The stock tach only goes to 8 and it revs about 200 past.

I just opened 2 JDM OBD0 PR3 programs and they're both at 8017, rev restart at 7814..

maybe the tach was off or something. Not trying to prove anyone wrong, but both 95zex240 and I have seen the tach rev to 8200 or really close to it. Defeinately revved farther that 8017. I know you are an ecu expert, so that is why think the tach might be off. By the way, how much to chip a obd0 LS ecu. Woould like to change the rev limit, which is like 6800 to about 7500 and a more aggressive fuel map. It is running a jdm b20b. pm me a price if you can

Yeah, that is strange. The P30 code says 8296, so their may be some funny rounding error that I'm looking at in the PR3 code.. not sure.. 8200 sounds right on though, so limiting at 7500 is a problem. Does it do it all the time, occasionally, after it's been driving for a long time, when the weather changes, any special quirks basically..?

somehow my vtec solinoid wire was loose pug in and wham back to 8200.

well what the fuck is wrong with my car. I have a b16a and my rev-limiter has always hit at 7600. I want my extra 600 rpm damn it. now i dont even know what the full potential of my car is.
