The one I paid $50 for was the same brand and part no. as the one Autozone wanted $182 for.

Try FINDING a heater core for a 1993 lexus GS300... when you do, they are used and $300.

The point of this thread was that I couldn't find an unused heater core that would fit my car, not that I couldn't find one cheap enough. I was just expressing my surprise that this specific heater core was almost $200 when one for an altima that is identitcal in every way other than being half an inch taller is less than 1/3 the price. I ended up buying a used one for now and Im having a local radiator shop duplicate the old one.

There was nothing wrong with the part that I bought, It was just for a different heater box than what is in my car...
