ok well im relatively new to 240s. i just picked up a 89 240sx with a neo rb25 swap. the guy i picked it up from had put the neo rb25 swap in with the neo rb25 tranny but put a ka shifter and i need to replace the shifter bushing cause it is very bad. so to replace the shifter bushing do i just get a rb25 shifter bushing, ka shifter bushing, or would any 240sx shifter bushing work

Which shifter bushing...? The bushing between the chassis and the shift lever, the bushing between the shift lever and the shift linkage, which one?

I'm going to assume he's talking about the plastic bushing that's on the end of the shift lever. In which case one from almost any RWD Nissan should work.
Here's the Nissan part number if you want to buy a new one: 32861
