i ran 22x9x13 m&hs on a set of rota rbs and they are reasonably priced and they are 8" wide. i never broke any axles with the slicks but have broken 2 with my 15" drag radials i think due to the shock from less sidewall and lower tire pressure.

What size where the 13, I didn't think I could run such small wheels with gsr brakes. Wheel hop from the drag radials is the killer for axles

This. I know plenty of NA Hondas on 22-23" slicks on stock axles. Preload is the key.

Yeah but you can't order 13inch Rota slips that will clear your calipers. Honestly, you should go with a 13in' wheel unless you're a 5lug car(thats my problem). The extra sidewall will help you out alot.

Radials beat our cars up alot more than slicks do. Is this a sub300whp?

After Feb. it should be in the 500whp range, im trying to sort everything out by then. What wheel would clear the calipers? I was looking at Lenso VMP's but cant find them anywhere.

This. I ran the same stock axles for 2 and a half years with 304 whp in my boosted DC, and never broken one. Learn how to preload the drivetrain properly, and you're golden.

This. When the right tire pressure is used, slicks will not hop if/when they spin. Radial & street tires will, and that causes shock to to drivetrain, resulting in broken axles in most cases.

Contact randr@exospeed.com

Or, you can check www.importdpsonline.com to see if they still sell the V2 competition drag wheels, they're 13 x 8 with a similar backspacing as the VPD Lenzo. If you're looking to shoot for 500 whp, I'd suggest you run a 24.5" slick.
