SPUTTERING HELP!!!
i have a 92 civic with a d16y7 in it
i woke up this morning start it up fine drove it for like 10mins and then it lost power and started sputtering like ima gettin no spark but i kno 100% i am..
CHECKED: vac lines
CHECKEDlug wires nd dizzy cap
I NEED HELP PLZZ

Worn rotor button = bad. Replace rotor.
Worn contacts on inside of cap = bad. Replace cap.
Brown "dust" on everything = bad/expensive. Dizzy bearing failure, replace dizzy.

Just do not crank the engine with the cap off (at least with the dizzy plugged in) to get the rotor to turn around to access the screw. You will blow up the ignition coil very quickly. Made that mistake once and never again lol.

And you say you are 100% sure you are getting spark. How did you perform this test? Just because you see a spark does not necessarily mean you are getting a strong enough spark.
did you check all the spark plugs? Are any of them fouled?
