dont know where you see 2 wires, this starter has one big wire bolted to started, and 2cd is a ground wire i believe.

The gear may pop out and spin but once its in the car it needs to be strong enough to turn the flywheel.

Besides you can test it in your driveway it you have jumper cables or a jump box.
lol.dont tell 2 do dat.

Why not? Thats the best way to test it. Any parts store tests it the same way except they hook it to a machine that has a switch.

And this makes no sense.

And this makes no sense.
if he couldnt do the simple stuff.why would u tell him 2 jump it himself?

he didnt need a starter in the first place if he could put a wire on the starter and it starts.but it wont start with the switch then whooop there it is.

WTF Are you talking about!

As for testing the starter. Take the neg clamp fromm jumper cables and ground the starter. Take the positive and hit the stud sticking out of the back of the solenoid. Simple as that.

As for the second part of your post.... Well I just dont understand what you are trying to get at. He hasnt been able to get the starter to turn over. The new one or the old one. What switch are you talking about?

Either way it doesnt really matter because obviously it isnt a starter issue.

i observed at the beginning of the thread he used a jumper wire to start the car which it fired right up.but he didnt want to continue doing it this way.so he decided 2 get a new one cause he was afraid it would go out unexpectedly.

for your test theory is if he couldnt figure out to troubleshoot this problem then i wouldnt recommend you give him advise to jump his starter an take dat change o fuckin it up or himself. not once did anyone tell him to hold the starter down.lol im just sayin

No where in here has he said he started it with a jumper wire either.

I still believe its a problem in the starting system. Hondas are not that complicated when it comes to starting and charging systems as other vehicles can be.
