stuck in swap.. GSR->CRX wiring question
Before anybody says it.. I know I know.. I did search previous threads and I found a lot of useful information.. I just want to hear it clear cut from somebody else, because I've spent too much time and money at this point to make one stupid mistake because I misread something..
I am swapping a b18c1 into a 1990 CRX. I already purchased the ECU harness adaptor from Hasport, and ASSUMED they would send me a conversion harness for under the hood as well.. Since Im a first time swapper, i didnt think to put 1 and 1 together, and realize the distributor harness was something completely different. Here's my question.. what would you guys recommend i do?? If I purchase this part here http://www.phearable.net/shoppingcar...mper-p-75.html will I be good to go??
Thanks in advanced to anybody who gives me some good advice

Yeah if you get that part that will solve your problem, or you could maybe find an obd-0 distributor for cheaper.
What about the alternator? or do you have an obo-0 one already?? injectors??

yeah you'll have to get the injectors jumper harness and the alternator one(if they make one) or just get an OBO-0 alternator. You might be able to file the injectors clips, I did it on my OBO-1 to OBO-2 swap, but you'll probably have to get the jumper harness.

Im very solid when it comes to soldering and wrapping.. shouldnt I be able to run the GSR in the CRX without swapping any of the motor components?? Isnt the trick just in wiring?
Sorry if these are stupid or obvious questions.. like i said before this is my first swap and Im tryin to become very thorough in the process..

Re: stuck in swap.. GSR->CRX wiring question
Did you get any of the engine harness along with the B18? If you have the B18 OBD1 harness, you can use the (high impedance) injectors and injector plugs from that, and get rid of the resistor box for the ODB0 (low impedance) injectors. Basically, you should have pretty much everything you need if you have the engine harness along with the engine. It's not as straightforward if you don't, but is still pretty easy.

Oh, so you could keep or scrap as much of the OBD0 parts as you want in favor of the B18 parts. I'd keep the B18 injectors and wiring and get rid of the resistor box, which saves you having to buy OBD0 injectors. I can't remember if the alternator plugs are the same... I know OBD2 alternator plugs are different, I think OBD0 and OBD1 might be the same though. Been a long time..
