Ok, So I don't know a whole lot about Nissans other than that the 240 is sought after for drifting, and my whole view of the company has been horribly slanted because of that. I am probably trading my car for a 240sx here, and getting out of the Honda game to make some real power.
First dumb question: What should I check before I trade?
Second stupid question: what would be a good way to make a 240sx coupe ass end look better? I'm already going to paint it.

I realize that the answer to my question is "You're a fucking idiot, go look it up" but I need some ideas.
What are some good suggestions to get this car up to spec? It definitely needs to be hit with some paint asap. Here's what I think, let me know if my money is better spent on other stuff though:
Paint
Lower
Wheels
5-lug
Wing removal
origin tails
Any ideas?

hmmm. a definite solution to the problem. Again, I know this is a moronic question, but I'm new to the whole RWD Nissan side of shit. Anything I should check out before making a trade?

Mostly rust on s13s. Check under car, special look at the frame rails. Also make sure the rocker panels dont have hidden rust. If it is swapped look over the swap really carefully.
Origin taillights will do wonders for it also

careful when driving it..can get hard if your used to FWD..especially when its raining,snowing, etc..dont take the turns too fast..until you know the car.

here's what I did for my 5 lug swap, which is real easy I might add
front
s14 knuckle with hub already
--you need either the s14 strut bolts to go with it and shave down the strut bolt hole; or use the s13 strut bolts with an outer sleeve (I got mine from agency power)
s14 LCA
if you can't find an s14 LCA just press in a s14 ball joint in the s13 LCA; s14 lca is about 5 mm longer too IIRC
*remove and replace basically
rear
300zx hubs
*once again.. remove and replace
plus rotors, etc
since I did a z brake swap, the hardest part was getting the rear ebrakes to work esp with the different cables and emergency drum brake in itself.
oh yea. you want to look for rust rust rust and whatever bushings.
check tie rods too, theyre prone to wear easy

no offense, a lot of the car people around here are assholes. like, they all have their friends and what not, then when a new guy with a shitty car with a few good parts comes into the scene, they all prey on him until they've low-balled all the good parts off his car, then try to sell him super cheap highly marked up parts that end up falling off or whatever. I'd rather just get to know this thing on my own, even if it is a whole series of screw-ups, because a vast majority of people suck.

must be coming from the honda world. The 240 scene is much smaller specially around here all the guys i talked to from down there last year at the big meet were real cool
