the honda world has definitely scarred you dude..

us nissan dudes are much friendlier.. we're just flaky as hell.

Join Zilvia.net, but i warn you now before you post a question on that website search because even though there is some really intelligent smart people on there they strongly frown on spoon feeding people. Other than that the nissan scene is a lot more chill

What makes a HUGE night and day difference as far as handling is replacing the front tension rods and the tension rod bracket with some spherical tension rods, I suggest spl's version (beefy, bulletproof and relatively cheap for the great quality) and the nismo tension rod bracket. The increase in vibration and harshness is barely noticeable and the car feels like it's on rails compared to the stock stuff. A good hingeless shock tower bar like the dc sports carbon steel series helps A LOT also, you don't realize how much chassis flex you have and how it affects feedback until you have one. In all you'll spend about $500 and have a car that is much more predictable.

The next best way to spend your money is on some good brake pads and tires, then participate in every autox and drift event you can afford to go to.

I've owned a gsr and type-r for a while and dealt with the honda/fwd gremlins. Every car has it's ups and downs it's just finding an evil you can deal with and understand. For me I went back to nissan because I missed the relatively cheap rwd layout, nissan parts interchangeability, and how easy it is to experiment with the chassis. My personal experience with the nissan crowd has been very positive; I almost always get the help I need, even if it involves the occasional sarcastic remark .

Here are a few more sights you should bookmark;

This is a pretty nice sight, a few engineers on here experiment with their cars and are very serious with their builds, think old school sport compact car (thick issues with Dave Coleman and Mike Kojima articles that required a calculator, dictionary and physics text book to understand), vs. super street (oooh shinny!)

http://www.freshalloy.com/forums/

This is a relatively new forum also with some very serious guys, I don't even have the gonads to post something here, I just look, dream and study with awe .

http://nissanroadracing.com/

And the old standby which got me into the nissan community back in my 300zxtt(TwinTurd) days;

http://forums.nicoclub.com/zeromain

This is a sight which sells high quality suspension arms and spherical bushings at reasonable prices, customer service is top notch also; after running their parts on a daily driver and a track car for almost six years now I won't buy anything else. They sell the tension rods I was talking about earlier.

Here's a couple of other guys that have good customer service and I've have good experiences with in the past:

http://www.phase2motortrend.com/
http://www.240sxmotoring.com/
http://www.mazworx.com/ (good swap kits and custom parts)
http://www.mamsparts.com/ (I meet Vaughn Gitten Jr. here when he was getting some work done on his personal car, cool guy; great nissan shop that can fab almost anything)

If you need help with the five lug conversion, brakes, or anything just ask .

The best way to make the coupe rear look good is to change the front end. Ditch the pop ups and get the s13 silvia front end. It changes the look and makes the rear look better. Thats just my 2 cents

Definetly go with the Orgin tail lights, they look so much better. (actually im trying to save up from my vert lol)

there is also a cheap way to go five lug. Goto the junkyard and look for a j30, there were 4 last time I went. Pull out the hubs and take the front brakes too because you can use the j30 brakes which is alot bigger and 2 piston as opposed to the single. Goto Rockauto.com and order s13 wheel bearings. You can press those bearings into the j30 hubs, the only thing is when you press them in you have to take them to a machine shop to get the snap ring to fit. The reason for this is s13 bearing is longer than the j30 one.
I did mine and it only cost me around 100 dollars for the front hubs.

you can also get a vlsd from j30 as well, I would pull one from a 95+ year because those years have to same axles as our cars, if you get on older one you would have to pull out the axles on them too.

hmm thats all i can think of, i would keep the wing though if it were up to me

also I dont really see any other 240 guys around the va beach area, especially the s13 vert guys =(
