The hitting it with a screwdiver worked from church street to effingham, couldn't get the bottom screw off the sensor, called a tow truck. Fml

At least you know where the problem is... Quick search on TPS netted prices from $65-120.... boo...

How far did you have to drive? from Bier Garden to where??? At least you escaped Portsmouth....

Ok ****** rigged the tps on and its even worse now, wont go above 2100 rpm, kinda feels like what turbo drag cars do at a staging line...two stepping? between that and 1k, and then shut off and wouldnt start again. I did leak out some anti freeze when I took off what I thought was a vacuum line but that wouldnt be the problem i dont think.

I HATE THIS CAR

Did you adjust the new one? I'm mobile right now and can't check what your values should be, but I bet that's all you have to do... Unless you've got another faulty sensor. Mine adjusts by loosening it and slightly moving the sensor up or down...

Ok...so they duct taped the intake tube, it was cracked, and it seemed to fix the staying running part. Now I need to adjust the TPS, the haynes guide makes it seem kinda complicated using vacuum lines and shit

Make sure your TPS is fixed...then:

#1 hit on Alldata by far is dirty MAF sensor. Make sure you have no vacuum leaks 1st and foremost. If you have a decent scanner-check fuel trims at idle and acceleration. Also-your MAF may not appear dirty-but carefully clean it anyway-the slightest amount of dirt or grime will make a huge difference. Its also a good idea to run a quality fuel injector cleaner at the same time.
