timing belt. b-series
recently i had a timing belt snap on my old b16 motor. pulled it because the valves were bent and dropped in a ls/v and after about 500 miles this bitch snapped again ~2800 rpm. belt was brand new,
would there be any certain problems that would be now causing this?

parts of the belt were wrapped around the gears when i pulled over. just happened under easy acceleration back onto rt17 after cruising at ~15mph for around 20 minutes

I would double check the washers that goes on the crank next to the oil pump. if they happened to put it on wrong(concave the wrong way), it could be shearing the belt and if its under proper tension, if it is cut too much it just rips and thats mechanical negligence. possibly a tensioner problem as well. or its just binding up somehow and they possibly used the wrong belt.
