Boosting a d-series is almost pointless, listen to Eric:

Turbo it. Boost is SO much more fun to drive than an NA car. Who gives a damn whats trendy, the "boost is trendy na is best" people are being just as trendy as the boosted people.
It's a steel box with wheels, who gives a shit. Do whats best, if you're looking for HP boost it, if you want to make it turn, spend all the money on suspension. Unless you can make that thing light as hell, the 180whp youll get out of building a b16 wont make you able to beat anything but other nonboosted hondas. And thats a real accomplishment.
Regardless of what you do, dont daily drive it. Go buy a beater and rock that on the daily. It's still a Honda, and we all know how "reliable" "fast" hondas are

Re: turbo or all motor
I've got a poor man's type r and love all motor but I used to have a turbocharged crx d-series, I would love to turbo my current setup just because turbo was so much fun.
Whatever you decide on don't waste your money on a B16 unless you are planning on turbocharging it.
