Whatever you decide on don't waste your money on a B16 unless you are planning on turbocharging it.
Please explain your "poor man's type-r". Please don't say B18C1 block/P30 head.

Would you like to hear the wrong thing? B18B block/ P30 head? I hope you don't call that a poor mans r. Yes I have a b18c1/P30.

No, that would be an LS/VTEC. I never understood the "poor man's type-r". You have lower compression than a normal b18c1 which has low compression to begin with.

I am at 10.5:1 (flat faced valves= .30cc and .10" shaved off the head=.10cc). Alittle more than a usdm B18c1. I didn't want to lose the compression but didnt want to go too high in case I decided to go turbo again. About 240psi all the way across

A "poor man's type-r" is considered a B18c1 block mated to a B16a/2/3 or B17 head

Cool didn't think you milled the head. And I know what a "poor man's type-r" is.

how many miles is on the motor, the b16 is good to start and then you could turbo that in the past, your still have power with that lite car, the turbos a positive but then you still have those miles, i think motor than turbo
