I have heard that this is a normal thing to happen to turbonetics turbos.

I'm in no way blaming the rebuilder. I only payed 20 bucks for the complete rebuild

Really?

The turbo spools up just like it did when it got rebuilt.

It's not that bad, I'm just anal about shit. I don't have any leaks, knock on wood.

I can't complain to be honest. I got it for 75 bucks with little shaft play. Got it rebuilt for 20.

I don't have a crankcase ventilation system.

I need to get one.

You're not running a PCV valve?

Or would it not work since you are boosting a non-turbo motor?

I don't have it 100% complete.

I have the PCV valve hooked up but I am not running a catch can nor a vaccum source on my valve cover.

This is one thing that is bothering me about researching. I cannot find a tried and true setup.

Arnell has a setup that works for him. GreaseMonkey has a different setup.

Some don't even have a setup.

Wouldn't the PCV valve be unable to operate when you are boosting?

FYI: The PCV valve controls crank-case gases from building up in the engine and the gases are released to the intake manifold to be burned off. The PVC valve also keeps the motor from detonating by closing the valve in the event of a backfire.

OR

Would the oil-catch can be a better mode of recirculating those gases?

My old TSi used the oil-catch can

PCV valves are like check valves tho. The pressure build up within the system will still flow somewhere, whether if you are boosted or not. The flow is outwards, away from the motor. What I did with mine is simple. I ran an scavenge system using the downpipe as a vacuum source vice stock which uses the intake pipe. I obviously could not do that since I am boosted. In between my vacuum source and the area I wanted to scavenge, I placed a sealed catch-can that I fabricated. I have no issues whatsoever......
