oh and unless you have measured your driveline loss by putting your motor on a engine dyno then dynoed again in the car.....i dont think your driveline loss is that high at that low hp level.

i got all the same stuff, the auto might suck up some power but not as much as people think.

the thought in the industry is that autos suck power in turbo cars. some think this because the auto car makes less power than the manual car. But in some cars that are auto equipped the manufacturer will equip it with a turbo with a smaller AR turbine housing to help off the line performance. Anybody with a big turbo and an auto knows what i mean. But the smaller turbine housing makes less power.

I think dsms do this. Heat? pat? shaun?

what about dodges? or nissans?

Toss the small turbos and get to something that ATLEAST has a T04 family compressor or larger.

Keep in mind that a larger turbo at a lower psi will outflow a smaller turbo at a slightly higher psi.

If you need a good read on how to read compressor maps and such, Corky (ha!) Bell wrote one hell of a nice book.

Yes they are. They make T4/T3 hybrids that are GREAT for 4 cyl applications.
