Default vafc issue

ok so i hooked my vafc up today n after we worked some kinks out we got the car to run right. Well i drove around for awhile 3 hours and it was fine and then as i was getting on the interstate i accelerated and the car threw a check engine light and would no longer accelerate after 5k and it was shuddering and popping real bad what would cause this ?? i returned the setting back to normal and its still doing the same thing. i cant check the light tonight but any idea what could cause this??

What year civic?

It could be in limp mode or you really messed something up.

Hopefully you didn't tune it yourself and thought it was ok.

Which generation VAFC is this? Are you running the AFC "hack", meaning... are you turboed? If not, do the easiest way out first.
1. "initialize" it to go back on default.
2. check make sure you are on "4-up arrow"
3. select "6 in, 6 out"

Also, what size injectors are you using?

Then the quickest way to fix it is to go back on "default". Then you should try what I just recommended. Also, again, which version VAFC is this?

Default Re: vafc issue

probably a code 13 if you bypassed the map sensor, that will throw it in limp mode....

Edit- maybe not code 13 if you're no boosted....
