Put the sound deadening back in, or use a lighter weight alternative if you're anal about weight. My del sol pump whines like that because I don't have my cargo compartments behind the seats anymore. All you need is some sound insulation and you shouldn't notice it. I'd get a FPR if you don't need all that additional flow yet, an SAFC isn't the best solution because it doesn't have the fine adjustment you might need to get your fuel economy back, plus (like the ECU) it can only trim back the injector duty cycle but so much.. Trim back your fuel pressure to a workable level, and then tune from there..

mine used to sound like someone was following me around on a scooter all the time until i bought an AFPR. i installed that and it quieted down a whole lot.

after driving around 75% of a tank of gas, i seem to have better gas mileage. maybe around 10-15% better. odd.
