HAHA that's great! My girlfriend got her credit card stuck inside her door (via window slot) on the way back from the bank having just deposited all of her cash onto the card. So I get this frantic call at work, she's freaking out because she's supposed to be going to dinner with friends and that's her only money. I had so many questions such as: Why the fuck was your card out of your purse? Why the fuck would you stick the card (with all of your money on it) in the window slot? and Why the fuck was Chevrolet still putting crank windows on cars in 2003? Had to take the door panel half off (the window crank held the other half on and I was in the parking lot at work with only a screwdriver) and fish around blind inside the door itself for like 15 minutes looking for the damn thing.

If you call your insurance company, they may have a lower deductible for just the windshield. $100 is not uncommon.

id try this first, it couldnt hurt. im with statefarm and i got my window replaced free with a lifetime warranty (full coverage)
