Just drive like a normal person. Keep it under light load, keep it out of high boost. If you're not loading the engine to the point that detonation is a problem, you won't have a problem. No need to drain the tank. I use cheap gas on road trips all the time, because it isn't worth the extra money to burn high octane gas at low-load highway driving.
