ok changed the head gasket on my 89 crx si put it back together and turns over but wont crank up how do i check to see if its the timing

get a timing light? Did you line up the gears and crank pulley? Is everything hooked up as it was before?

ok well im dumb when it comes to a timing light i can do the simple stuff but i checked every thing its all back together but this little blue valve broke it feeds into the intake manafold will that prevent it from starting and if not how do i know its the timing

well do you know if your even getting spark, or fuel?

yes on the spark and i smell gas

disconnect your fuel like and turn it over, see if you have fuel pressure, you may be getting some fuel but no fuel pressure

if so then its timing...


but my guess is timing.

yea dude itf he smells got and a roger on the spark its your timing. missed a tooth.
