Is that G-Tech yours? If so, could you bring it the next event at Pungo on June 1st? I always wanted to use one of those things on my car to see what numbers I would get.

I do have a G-tech. I also have acces to a VERICOM performance computer ($700), although it belongs to a friend of mine's. It needs a software update so it is currently not useable...BTW, Autoweek magazine uses a VERICOM for all performance #'s!
The G-tech and the Vericom were spot-on identical when used on the miata for 1/4 mile times/speed. What I don't know is if they are accurate. Does a best of 15.2@93 in the 1/4 sound right for an aggresively launched but still CS prep'd miata???
That's why I need a real slip.

The GTech's are pretty accurate when setup correctly.
1) It has to be mounted perfectly flat
2) The road needs to be pretty flat
3) It looses accuracy bigtime under 12sec 1/4's (I think that's it)
I have one, a couple years back in my friends 2nd Gen DSM, we ran a 13.6 with it at Dinwiddie and collected a 13.62 slip. MPH were a few off too.. For mild cars, they are great.
I can bring mine to ODR and you can play with it until the TSCC event?

If maybe Chad or Ed will let you borrw the G-Tech to see what that new motor of yours can do for you !!
And Chad, I would really appreciate that, thanks.
