hahaha. ask deryl. he runs his 4-door civic with 17" and everything in the trunk, and still pulls good times.

Didn't your engine fall out once? I am sure that had more to do with the age of the engine mounts then the actually autocrossing. Just be sure your car is in good working order. The runs only last about 50 secs and you only get to about 60 mph if you are lucky. It's the tires that take a beating more then anything.

oh yeah but i only broke mounts and that is a common problem for my car and it took 30 minutes to fix. im sure autoxing didnt help but that cant be the only reason. i guess i kinda forgot about that lol.

Right! But to each his/her own though. I would rather run an open road course then autocross anyday. I prefer drag though.

a weekend at a road course runs $700+, usually much +. autocross cost $20 and passes the time between track events nicely.
as for shifting, these B series engines really fall on their face below 5K...

I only paid $300 for my weekend plus food and hotel. I shared a room with three instructors. That was interesting.
