I like NB its cheap, about the same as racing on the street with the traction you get there. So you get real numbers.

I'll be going to bristol in July, as soon as I get my new Tranny and Stage 3 axles etc... etc... etc.... on the car. Hopefully i won't continue to break things

Anyone know if that will be 1/8mi or 1/4mi? Ive heard its going to be 1/8mi but then heard from someone that knows the ppl building it that its going to be 1/4mi. I dunno myself but a 1/4mi track less than an hour away would be NICE!!

Id go to NB but I like Rockingham better and 1/8mi racing for anything other than dialing in a set up is like cyber sex....fun when you dont have anything else to do but not really that satisfying

Shelor is an 1/8 mile track and they have not even started building it. They have only started digging the mountain out for where it is going to go. Doubtful it will be open til this fall.

Shelor's track will be 1/8 mile this year, and will be extended to 1/4 mile next year (or the year after) and will eventually be NHRA sanctioned. That info was told to me by Stephanie Carroll - the track manager.
