Re: Best Wing in or around Roanoke?
I had the Armageddon wings at Macado's this past Sunday and I was not impressed at all.. The wings were cold, and the sauce burnt my lips but was not at all what they make it out to be. They keep the sauce in the managers office, and supposedly they dillute it, but regardless it was not as hot as people make it out to be.
The best overall buffalo wings are probably Mac-n-Bobs, as was already mentioned. Sadly, I tend to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings the most when I want wings. I don't really like Allsports wings, or Hooters wings. You can get great grilled wings at Portside on Smith Mountain Lake, but it's getting late in the year and their hours are going to be slim to none. It's a little tiki bar with great food, but you want to go there in the summer.
Soooo... uhhh... sadly, I'd just hit up Buffalo Wild Wings and get some them coated in wild sauce. Best tasting warmest sauce in town I think, sadly.

Hands down Mac & Bob's. Which is really sad, because M&B's still has some pretty sub-par wings when it comes to good wings. TBH, there just aren't many good wing places in Roanoke.

I've only had their wings a few times because I was disappointed each time. Which sauce do you get? I like HOT wings with flavor... The wings I got there had neither heat, or good flavor. The quality of the wings theirselves weren't bad, but that's all I can say--since everything else wasn't really up to par.

I've had wings at B-dubs in the roanoke mall and they sucked ass. But the wings at B-dubs here in Lynchburg are actually very good imo.

I don't know if I mentioned this yet or not, but we had a little Jeep meet and greet at Macado's recently and we decided we'd all try the Armageddon wings that I've heard so much about. They were awful! The wings were cold, and sloppy. The sauce had a little heat but I felt it mostly on my lips and not so much in my mouth like I do with the wild sauce at BWW. Wild sauce at Buffalo Wild Wings makes me sweat a little bit, but I love it. I even get it on the side for my french fries.
