Default Help me pick my next tool

So I have some gift certificates and want to get some stuff from sears. What should I get? I want something for all around. No craftsman hating, I have to get craftsman, it’s what sears sales.

Should I go with the ones that have the flex head like these?

Or offset ones that have a size on each side?
offset

Or regular ratchet ones with a size on each end?
regular

Or something with ratchet on one end and closed on the other?
other

I dont like the above personally since craftsman wobble head anything gets pretty floppy after some use. Their wobble head ratchets and universals get to be a PIA after a while when you have to fight it to get to a fastener due to the ratchet head flopping around.

Ive got a couple craftsman ratchets with the wobble head and very rarely use them anymore since I have to fight it the entire time using it.

Either of the above are ok IMO but.....if you run into a fastener that never loosens the entire time youre taking it out the edges dig into your hands. On lock nuts, corroded threads, or something cross threaded and you really have to put some hind end into turning it they will eat your hands after just a few turns. Gloves help but the smaller the wrench the worse it is IMO.

The above I like the best so far. The ratchet mechanism wont "catch" every now and then but its not bad at all for the price. The only down side Ive seen with them so far is that the ratchet box end is bigger than a regular box end wrench and wont fit in some tight places a reg box end wrench will. I do use the heck out of them though.

BTW, spend the extra couple of bucks and get the made in USA ratchet wrenches since sears sells an off shore brand right beside theirs thats made in china or another similar country where the employees are paid in pennies/rice cakes and have to live in mud huts. The ~$5 extra per set for the USA stuff isnt a big deal.

Gearwrench is good. But I've never had a problem out of Crafstman plus you can just get another one if it breaks anyway. And it's cheaper.

Hum ok, well a part of my Christmas was a set of the last ones listed. The Gearwrench ones. So If I keep them then I still have $50 to spend so any suggestions on what other tools I should get?
