I am trying to get a job while up at radford this school year, anyone know of any businesses hiring and how much they start off paying?

 

Looking for anything in particular? Tried the VEC yet? Or are you looking for something retail/customer service-ish?

 

what is the VEC? I really don't have a big preference on where i work. I will only want to work 20 or so hours a week because i will still be taking a full load at school.

 

VEC= Virginia Employment Comission. You go there fill out an application and they get you set up in a computer system to help match you up with a job.

i know right now gap in the christiansburg mall is hiring, as is movie gallery. those spots wont be open for much longer though.

your easiest bet is to go to echostar untill you can find a job that wont suck, but keep in mind you have 10k kids at radford and another 30k at tech who ALL want jobs.

try looking for work study on campus??

 

The VEC also hires for small time positions.

Echostar on the other hand, hires ALL the time. The rotation of employees through that building is so high you can almost feel the breeze. It's not bad for a little while though, and most of the employees/supervisors/managers throw some great parties.

I worked for golden corral when I went to Radford. My boss was a crack head though, he would always be feindin for crack and scratchin at work.
