Doesn't matter if nitrous is illegal.. There were several cars out there that actually came off of a trailer, and are absolutely not street legal--i.e. track/drag cars. That's what cruise night is all about, and that's why you can run neons and strobe lights and all of that junk. Hell, I even saw a Chevelle do a smokey burn-out next to a group of cops in the middle of the road and they gave the guy thumbs up. I don't think they care much about things like that on cruise night.

it is.. but now it's illegal to even have the lines running to the motor and disconnected with quick access to the bottle, I think. does that make sense?

I wonder if the NOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS is not injected into the engine (i.e. onto the intercooler) if the law still applies? Are they looking at it from a performance standpoint or a safety standpoint?
Did some searching and found this, but not sure if it is the "updated" law or not....
"§ 46.2-1088.4. Devices used to supply nitrous oxide to the engines of motor vehicles.
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any motor vehicle on the highways of the Commonwealth if such vehicle is equipped with any device that supplies the vehicle's engine with nitrous oxide, unless the device has been disabled such that the supply of nitrous oxide is disconnected and not readily accessible to the source of delivery.
Violation of any provision of this section shall constitute a Class 3 misdemeanor.
(2004, c. 282.) "

I think as long as the bottle isn't hooked up period or near a "line" then it should be ok.
If I just have even the solenoids and all the equipment but no bottle in the car it's illegal? Or say I go to the track and my NX kit is hooked up but the bottle is in a friends car I can get in trouble?
That what I'm reading? I'm just wanting to make sure.

Re: July 2, Williamson Road Cruise Night
yeah.
used to be you could have lines and such installed, but no bottle. then people started getting around that with remote openers, since the law stated that you could not have the nitrous connected and READILY AVAIL. which they meant as bottle on. so remote openers worked to get around that, since you could open it from the front seat.
now, its illegal period. no lines, solenoids, etc. thank all the ricers for this law....
