Default NOPI

Well went to NOPI today. I'm burnt as shit, and my feet hurt like a mother. Had to walk over a 1/4 mile every time I wanted to go to the stand or the car show, and it was a trip I made several times.

I meet Teresa and her husband. She was running crazy consistent so I look for her to do well in eliminations tomorrow. They are really nice/cool people, it was good meeting them.

I have some pictures I will post tomorrow when I get home, but there's not much...

Now for the frustrating part. I still have yet to break 13's. Yes that's right, wit 280hp and 300lb of tq I still can't get this bitch bellow a 14.1... I have no idea what the hell is going on. I mean I suck at driving, but even that can't be the only problem as I cut a couple really good 60ft times.

My best of the day was a 14.104 @ 100.28 mph w/a 2.107 60'

My best 60' of the day was a 2.104 which was a 14.209 @ 99.93mph.

I consistently trapped around 100mph with a best of 101. This leads me to think that there is something wrong. With 280hp I would think I would be trapping a bit higher.

Well at least I did not break anything, and I beet my previous best times on the Bristol track, so I guess that's what's important...

Youre 60fts are killing you. Find a way to launch that thing to get some decent 60fts out of it is going to help.

The decent MPH you put up with that ET makes me think the car is pulling good on the big end but the first ~150ft or so is killing you. While I dont have any suggestions for you (hey, I race a truck so how helpful could I possibly be?) like I mentioned above get that thing to hook and 60' worth a damn then you should see a fairly noticable improvement.

For comparison my truck when it was bone stock (right down the factory paper air filter) ET'd at 13.8x @100mph with a 1.8x 60ft so with your MPH you should be well into the 13s IMO.

srt4's trap at 100 or low 100's stock.. shitty conditions maybe? your making some good power, I don't see why 105+ mph wouldnt be possible...

Well glad to know you enjoyed yourself..W/ the exception of having to walk toe 1/4 mile to get anything...
Not bad times just keep at it and you will figure out what you are doing wrong. Best of luck to you in getting to 13.8

what were the 1/8 mile times, speed? 14 flat is right for 100mph, sounds like your car was down on power, how did it feel yesterday?

Not sure what time you ran, but when I did it was 90 degrees on the track. My 1/8 time was nearly a second slower than I normally run, so the conditions suck. I wouldn't take that time too personally.
