Wow...Thats...erm...horrible. His last time slip was a 14.9 and that was before his car got the sexy. I have faith that on the bottle (+ all his other mods) well be seeing some numbers much much lower. Now as long as he gets his new engine installed right.

Just a few words, since I have run at Bristol several times in several cars and have been to the street fights a lot.

The no slicks rule is not really enforced. When you go in and pay you will get in an inspection line and they will look at your tires and your car and you fill out a little release form. Just have street tires on at inspection time. AFter that you go down into the parkign area or into the staging lanes. Have some slicks in your truck and put them on in the parking area, and then get in line. I've seen lots of people doing that.

Also, Bristol has a reputation for being a somewhat...slow track. So don't get your hopes up for a screaming fast time.

I'll prolly be down for it if I can get a ride, since the gsr is gone, and I'll bring my video camera so noone can b.s. there way out of a loss.

sweet! Make sure you get me and Parker and VtspecV going at it. Why is this track slow? Altitude, uphill? what?

It's said to be uphill and the altitude is higher around 1900 feet (not sure exactly, but high enough for an NHRA correction factor).

The track is built somewhat uphill. Also, it is built between two mountains, which is not exactly the best for air flow. You end up runnin on a mixture of exhaust fumes and oxygen instead of just oxygen.

The gsr had a blow out down in georgia and hit a pine tree. Did'nt get a ticket or anything like that, since it was'nt my fault, but it broke both bones in my forearm. Now I have 14 pins and 4 plates holding them in place. So remember, good tires are a necessity.
