exactly...gotta pay twice as much to get the same results you'd get... its not fair

that is a very extensive build. i guesstimate the motor itself cost ~10k not including turbo setup.

its a bad bitch...its full of win and full of spin.

Oooooooooooooor we could build a cheap ass D series w/ forged internals and a disco potato and be happy as hell... But its so tempting to drop that minty LS in my car... grrrrr...

Or you could do like 1000 dollar d series bottom, New vitara pistons, new eagle rods, new bearings, and new rings, and make like 330-350 relativly easy with a t3/t4 57trim and be happy. All thats about as expensive as your gt28rs or whatever.

Thats been my idea, but smaller turbo for DD....

Well, b/c I've got a partially built LS settin in my shed... If I did drop it in I would go LS vtec

Thats what I'm shooting for... But as it seems easier and easier to me to make 300whp my new goal is 400whp.

You should buy my bottom end and take this LS off my hands...

You can actually pick up some tunertoy rods and save some money. The more whp you want to make the more you need to spend, 300whp is nice thats what the k made(before it blew), and really you could probably use dsm 450s (with resistor box) a msd btm (which will be helpful anyway to not blow out spark) and as bad as it sounds an afc and make 300. And be reliable. All of these but the Msd probably could be picked up for less that 200 dollars!
